drifting,
falling.
Floating weightless
Calling home.
Earth below us
Drifting, falling...
Floating weightless,
Coming,
coming home!
(Okay, okay, so I heard Peter Schilling singing this song in my car after work-can I help it if my mind makes random associations?)
The last picture is courtesy of Peter Joseph Swanson, artist and author of "The Joan Crawford Murders"--a book I NEED to read! (and incidentally, while checking out his book on Amazon.com, I also saw that Donna Marie Nowak's "Just Joan: A Joan Crawford Appreciation" has garnered some really amazing reviews, which makes me really happy (honestly, it's the first book in decades that really "gets" Joan Crawford)!
Amazing, amazing woman...sigh.
(P. S. Could Peter Schilling have been any hotter? I doubt it)

That song was very important to me in a time of fashionably-ripped sweatshirts.
Me too, Toon. I don't remember when it came out, but for the longest time I thought it was David Bowie! And hearing it last night on the way home from work was perfect timing!
I loved this song! More than that, thanks for the laugh!
Pax, it's a completely fucking sublime song, isn't it? LOVE IT!
(PS: I'm making some progress as far as checking up w/Billy Loves Stu on my PC; if I open BLS on firefox, I can read your posts, but whenever I try to comment, it says something mystifying along the lines of "you must enable cookies in your browser". Since I don't have a clue what cookies are or if enabling them is a good idea, I try following firefox directions, but it's pretty darn complex. Ach, I'll figure it out sooner or later.
Glad I made you laugh!
